COVID-19 Crisis Support

If you or a family member is having a difficult time during the COVID-19 crisis and needs emergency funding or food assistance, please contact Jaime Dulberg, secondary counselor, at jdulberg@southrouttk12.org or Rita Rhodes, elementary counselor, at rrhodes@southrouttk12.org.

For mental health support anyone who is struggling can reach out to Mind Springs at 1-877-519-7505 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. This line will be staffed with mental health professionals who will provide help to those experiencing increased anxiety and stress due to social distancing and others issues surrounding the virus outbreak.

Exchange programs

High School/ College Exchange Programs help people gain understanding, acquire knowledge and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world.

  1. CIEE : A nonprofit, nongovernmental organization, CIEE is the world leader in international education and exchange. For more than 65 years CIEE has helped thousands of people gain the knowledge and skills necessary to live and work in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world by offering the most comprehensive, relevant, and valuable exchange programs available.

  2. Go Global: Youth For Understanding (YFU) is a non-profit international educational organization with programs in 64 countries. One of the world's oldest, largest, and most respected exchange organizations, YFU has exemplified excellence in exchange worldwide since 1951.

College Testing
  1. SAT: The SAT is the nation’s most widely used college admission exam. Every student will take the SAT their Junior year at Soroco HS in the Spring.

The College Board's mission is to connect students to college success and opportunity. College Board services include college readiness, college admission, guidance, assessment, financial aid, enrollment, and teaching and learning.

  1. ACT: The ACT is an independent, not-for-profit organization that provides a broad array of assessment, research, information, and program management solutions in the areas of education and workforce development.

  2. Accuplacer: The Accuplacer test is used to assess student preparedness for introductory credit-bearing college courses and concurrent enrollment courses offered through CNCC and CMC.

  3. ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery): The ASVAB is administered by the United States Military Entrance Processing Command, used to determine qualification for enlistment in the United States Armed Forces.
